Kick-off meeting on BSB Smart Farming project

With our partners, we held the first meeting on the BSB Smart Farming project, under the Black Sea Basin program.

The main objective of the project is to develop and establish sustainable conditions for increasing cross-border trade opportunities as well as modernization in the agricultural sector. The idea is to use the digital transformation from traditional farming to modern methods. The project will test and implement a robust and replicable model to prepare the conditions in the agricultural and related sectors in the BSB region for digitization, improving the capacity of farming communities, academia, public institutions, industrial actors and entrepreneurs for cross-border trade opportunities. It will respond to common territorial challenges related to lagging in modernization and competitiveness.

The project aims to improve the readiness to introduce innovative ICT-based technologies in agriculture and related sectors, to provide stable preconditions and a common ICT tool to prepare for digital modernization in the agricultural and related sectors in the BSB region, as and to intensively increase opportunities for cross-border trade and modernization in the agricultural and related sectors.
